Ikigai -
Colours of Life

We worked on our third semester Prototype as a team of three students. We went to a museum and the task was to creatively implment some of the impressions gained into a VR game. The landscape paintings of different cultures left deep impressions, especially one simplistic traditional japanese landscape painting, so we decided to go for an idyllic japanese touched theme for this Protoype. Go to Ikigai to see some of my most current work in Concepting, Worldbuilding, Environment Design, 3D modelling and VFX Effects.

Explore my game prototypes from the
first three Semesters of my Game Art and Design study at HBK Essen.
The first Semester Project was a desktop walking Simulator with autobiographical Elements. The second semester Prototype was a mobile game focussed on mechanics, scripting and animation and the third semester prototype was a VR- and a team project, where I mainly focussed on environmental Design, Worldbuilding and Concept.

Here you can find my second semester prototype. Having accomplished the first steps in Unity, we now started to focus on mechanics and animations. The task was to build a mobile game that includes a creative interpretation of any job as core game mechanic. Since I am a huge fan of 2D Point-and-Click adventures, I decided to go for "forensic" and implement some riddles to solve for my player, in order to reconstruct what has happened to that poor little Lemming.

Have a look at the results of my very first steps in Unity, Blender and Substance. The task was to create an autobiographic walking simulator. Since being in University the second time brought back memories of my time studying biology I decided to incorporate all of these feelings and thoughts into my first game project for others to explore.
